Loxton RSL
The RSL A Time To Celebrate, 2020.
The objective of the program has been to showcase and capture stories and experiences, provide an opportunity for members to engage and share their views and express themselves publicly and to provide positive well being within the community and network of the members and to recognise their sacrifices, triumphs, un selfish loyalty and commitment to creating a better world for future generations.
There have been some amazing moments of wonderful human experiences and moments of emotion over the past months and I encourage everybody to take their time over the coming months to explore as many of these stories and adventures as possible. Help us celebrate the significance and contribution made by those who served our country but also to those who were the support network behind the scenes in family and community.
The onset of Covid 19 in the first month of the program proved to be a formidable challenge with RSL branches forced to close and many isolating until restrictions eased, however the flexibility and passion of the participating members continued the momentum and drive to capture and document these unique and fascinating insights to once in a lifetime global events, cultural movements and moments in time.
I would like to acknowledge the leadership and foresight of the Tanunda RSL Sub Branch and it's members who backed the proposal and endorsed the application to make it all possible. In particular President Trevor Klose and Vice President Lee Martin. This programme was funded by the Veterans and Community Grant stream, 2020.
The programme was facilitated and produced by Christian Teusner / The EMU Tree.
